Bill D'Elia has executive produced and directed several television series including How To Get Away With Murder, The Crazy Ones, Monday Mornings, Harry's Law, Boston Legal, and Ally McBeal. He has directed over 100 television episodes, has been a consulting producer/director on many other television series, and he co-created the show Judging Amy. He began his career adapting Thomas Berger's Pulitzer Prize nominated novel The Feud, which he also produced and directed. His two children are the stand up comedian and actor Chris D'Elia (Incorrigible, Undateable) and writer/director Matt D'Elia (American Animal, Green Olds). He is married to Ellie, an Interior Decorator.
