Ben Afful is a Canadian actor living in Vancouver Canada and originally from Ghana , West Africa. After moving from Ghana he lived briefly in London England and settled with his parents In Calgary, Alberta Canada before moving to Vancouver in 1986. His early acting career began with extra,featured extra and stand-in work on the set of 21 Jump St.,X-files and Millennium from 1988 to the early 90's. During that time he also worked in fashion modelling and did gigs at events such as Vancouver's annual Caribbean Festival. After a long stretch of time to pursue training as a carpenter, a business degree at Simon Fraser University and to start a construction company, he went back to the world of Acting in conjunction with the operation of his company. He is represented by Maijah Lewk in North Vancouver. His agent since 2012 is Dean Osmon. His favorite hobbies outside of acting are kayaking and track and field sprints, which he participated in extensively during high school and university. He resumed sprint competition at the age of 37 finding the discipline of sprint training to be both therapeutic and invigorating. His favorite genres of movie to watch are sci-fi, drama and horror with titles like Prometheus, Gladiator and 28 Days making the top ten.
