From the humblest of beginnings, Bailey Kobe never planned for a career in entertainment. His mischievous writings would often have him sent to the principal's office, but t the same time cemented him as a political force as a high school speech writer, cartoonist and editor of the school paper.Bailey Kobe began his directorial journey at Orange Coast College, in Orange County, California, and became a standout in the local film festivals - leading to a programming position at the LA Film Festival.Bailey's undergraduate experience concluded with a degree from The University of Southern California, where he focused not just on the technical aspect of filmmaking, but on story and narrative, and their effects and implications throughout history.In between readings of Faulkner and Joyce, Bailey spent years in multi-camera television at USC's television station, Trojan Vision, the #1 college station with over 30 million home viewing audience - directing variety and comedy shows. As a senior he directed a single-camera documentary called Comics Conquer Cinema, starring, comic book icon, Stan Lee, that also screened internally at the studios.In his pursuit towards becoming a premium content creator, he sought the tutelage of the industry's best. He worked for such greats as legendary studio head Gareth Wigan at Sony Pictures, his eventual mentor, and super-agent, Robert Newman, then literary head at ICM.USC's elite Peter Stark Program chose Bailey as a member of the Class of 2006. During his two years in the program, he excelled in filmmaking and development, earning coveted production TA-ships, the National Association of Theater Owners Scholarship, and the Peter Stark Special Project Grant for directing.Bailey has formed a company, Double Entente Films with Stark classmate Frederic Imbert. They have multiple projects optioned and in development for film and television, after completing several hit music videos and commercials for clients like Universal and Ubisoft.
