Axel Green began performing at a very young age as a gymnast in his home town of Chapleau, ON. After entering Chapleau High School, he began performing in theatre. Due to a lack of opportunity in this small town, he moved to London, ON to pursue a career in the arts. He attended H. B. Beal Secondary School where he was a host on a televised newscast for the high school. He spent some time behind the camera as well as training in film making, editing, and produced Public Service Announcements. He continued to perform and was cast a lead role in the musical Grease.Following High School, Axel was accepted into the theatre program at George Brown College. In college, he wrote two plays, directing and producing them both. He successfully completed the program and ventured across Canada to Vancouver where he attended the Vancouver Film School's acting program. He was given principal roles in three different student films and achieved straight A's. During his time at the Film School, He participated in many activities including the 48 Hour Film Festival. Outside of school, He wrote and produced a play that was performed in Vancouver, signed on with a talent agency, and began auditioning for various film and television productions.Axel discovered quickly that he had a love for film making and attended the Trebas Institute for Post Production. He and fellow film worker, Steve Schmidt, started their own production company "Cooking with Bob Productions", and produced a music video for a Vancouver musician Marnie Mains. He continued to audition for various roles and landed acting (speaking) roles in several television programs such as "John Doe", "Romeo", "Battlestar Gallactica", "Whistler", "DaVinci's Inquest", and "Intelligence". He was cast in an Independent Film "The Delicate Art of Parking" as well as the Hollywood features "Freddy Vs. Jason" and "Snakes on a Plane".Axel achieved his credits to become a member of ACTRA (Canadian Actors Union). In 2006, he relocated to Austin, Texas, USA, where he volunteered as an anchor at Longhorn Pulse, a television program at the University of Texas. In 2008, Axel returned to his home town where he was a coach for the Chapleau Gymnastics Club and the Chapleau Wild Cheerleading Club.He returned to Vancouver where he and Steve Schmidt began to collaborate with a talented team of Canadian film makers and "Cooking With Bob Productions" became "Kharisma Pictures". They produced and starred in a web series pilot for Out TV. Following this he co-wrote, produced and starred in a bilingual short entitled "Some of Them". Returning to mainstream, Axel was photo double, stand-in, and Stunt Driver for Jackey Earle Haley on "Human Target: Season 1".In 2010 Axel gathered his team once again to shoot a short film in Vancouver entitled "Dead Simple". Which went on to be selected at Cinefest Sudbury as a finalist for CTV best in shorts. "Dead Simple" won an award of merit for cinematography. Axel went to Ontario for family matters for a year and upon his return to Vancouver became certified as a rope access technician and was accepted as a permit rigging grip for I.A.T.S.E.In January of 2012, Axel re-assembled his production team with director Steve Schmidt, cinematographer Ronald Richard, and actor Samuel Thivierge as well as new additions from all over Canada, bringing everyone together in his home town of Chapleau to shoot "The Road to Tophet", a Kharisma Pictures production.Upon his return to Vancouver, Axel was a rigging grip on the feature film "The Seventh Son" and was also cast as "Mr. Clock" in the TV series "R.L. Stein's The Haunting Hour". Axel relocated to Montreal to work as a set carpenter on the feature film "The Young and Prodigious Spivet" and becoming a permit for AQTIS. In Quebec, Axel also did commercials with Cinelande, Jet Films, and La Cavallerie.In 2013, Axel traveled between Quebec and Ontario several times for work. Along with the four commercials that year, he worked as the set decorator for the feature "House of Versace" in Quebec. In Ontario, he worked as a grip on "The Captive" and a Hallmark Christmas movie titled "Pete's Christmas". He worked as key grip on the films "The Scarehouse" and "Back Country". He also dolly gripped that year on "Star Spangled Banners", "A Masked Saint", and is signed to dolly grip on Jake Joins a Cult in 2014.While filming "The Captive" in Sudbury, he met Adam Beach and was soon partnering up with the actor to perform the voice over for Kharisma Pictures film "The Road to Tophet", which he was still producing at the time.In the time Axel has been working in Ontario, he has now become an I.A.T.S.E. 873 and N.A.B.E.T. 700 union permit. He is continuing to expand his repertoire as a Canadian film technician, actor, and producer.
