Antwayn Hopper was born in Weisbaden, Germany and raised in Topeka, Kansas. One of two boys; he's the son of William F. Hopper, a retired Sargeant First Class Army Veteran turned KS State Correctional Officer and Lillian Hopper, a Paralegalist and Drug Addictions Counselor out of Washburn University.He holds a B.F.A in Drama from the School of Drama at Carnegie Mellon University. He is an actor of both Film/TV as well as theater, where he has been seen in the Tony Award winning HAIR!(Broadway), as well as revived the main role of Kilroy in Camino Real (Goodman), which previously revived with Ethan Hawke and Al Pacino in the main role. His work in Camino produced a Time Out Chicago Award as well as notable reviews from NY Times, Chicago-Tribune, Variety, Chicago-Sun and the Examiner.Other noteworthy credits include the NY Premiere of Pulitzer Prize Winning Playwright, Paula Vogel's A Civil War Christmas with Tina Landau at (NYTW), creating Dion in the World premiere of Whoopi Goldberg's Cautionary Musical: White Noise (NY/LA), portraying Elegba in the Southwest Premiere of The Brothers Size (Old Globe) and creating Woodson in Steven Soderberg's The Knick on Cinemax.
