Anthony Cristo was born at the Nix Hospital on Wednesday March 24, 1971. He was the third of six children to Adolfo L. Cristo Jr. and Elizabeth Ann Cristo. He has two older brothers Chris and Adolph, two younger brothers, Andrew and Stephen and one little sister named Sarah. When he was six years old he saw Star Wars at a crowded theater on the South side of San Antonio and knew what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. Enterain the world. His first taste of the biz came when he was fifteen and worked on a local TV show called "Teen T.V." In 1993 he went into the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary in Santa Fe, New Mexico to study being a priest for the Archdiocese of San Antonio. While attending College he learned how to write screenplays from a student. He left the seminary after only one semester because he realized that as a priest he could only reach people in his parish and people who were Catholic but as a filmmaker he could reach the world. In 1994 he worked for Buddy MacGregor at "KICK" 92FM in Austin Texas as "Cowboy Cristo" Man of a Thousand voices. He provided the character voices for the morning show with Jim W.W. Travis and hosted an afternoon show. In 1995 he started working various jobs to get out of debt and go back to school to finish his degree. It was during this time that his beloved mother died of Endometrial cancer. His last words to her were, "Everything I do from now on, I'll do in your name." Realizing he'd wasted too much time not pursuing his dream and that his mother would never see him doing what he loved, he enrolled at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. He made the Dean's List every semester he was there and graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Communications and a minor in Theatre Arts in August of 2002. He helped on some independent films in Austin Texas before heading out to Los Angeles to try and utilize all his talents. Show less «
