Early Life and EducationAngelique Rivera was born in Chicago, Illinois but grew up in Kissimmee, Florida. She first began dancing at the age of 3 but when she was introduced to theatre at the age of 8 she took a hiatus from dancing and wanted to focus on acting and singing. Her first role was "Pepper" in the musical Annie. While she attended high school, she performed in the drama club's musicals and plays and also did local community theatre. She graduated with her Bachelor's in Theatre Performance from the University of Florida in 2014.CareerShortly after graduating from the University of Florida, Rivera moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue her dreams of becoming a professional actress. Her first day in LA she met with Joan Green Managment and a week later she officially became their client. Rivera started attending John Rosenfeld Studios and started taking vocal lessons with Bob Corf and Aaron Hagen. She later signed with TalentWorks theatrically and after 6 months of being in LA she booked the series regular role of Evy Dominguez on ABC's American Crime. Her first professional job ever.
