Originally from the US, he was an American Fulbright professor and Founding Artistic Director of The English Language Theatre of Orenburg, Russia. After receiving an MFA in Theatre Arts from USC he continued training with a fellowship to the Folger Conservatory in Washington and a Rotary International fellowship for theatre studies to the Sorbonne in Paris. He is the author of the critically acclaimed book An Actor's Business (voted year's best in 1996 by Stage Directions Magazine) He has published numerous articles on theatre and film, and is developing a teaching methodology text called "Language Learning through Drama" to complement a Masters in TESOL, which he also holds.A trained Shakespearean actor, Andrew has performed in numerous stage, film and video productions in the United States and in France. Some of his stage credits include work done at the Shakespeare Theatre of Washington in the roles of Montague in Romeo and Juliet, Norfolk in Richard III, Creon in Medea, Worcester in Henry IV, Cornwall in King Lear, and Antigonus in The Winter's Tale, directed by Michael Khan (former director of the Julliard Acting School) among many others. Other credits include the title role of Julius Caesar with the Florida Shakespeare Festival, and as Chekhov in Chekhov in Yalta at the Washington Stage Guild. His film credits include featured roles in Chances Are (1989), Why Me? (1990) and 3 Men and a Little Lady (1990), (starring Tom Selleck and directed by Dirty Dancing's Emile Ardolino).TV credits include starring and co-starring roles in Divorce Court, Pointman, and more. Andrew has directed theatre productions in the U.S., France and Russia, including A Midsummer Night's Dream in Los Angeles, Temperament Epuise in Paris, and Three Tall Women in Russia, Peer Gynt, The Redwood Curtain, The Pigman, among others.
