In 2004 Andrew O'Keefe was Channel 7's 'Golden Boy', and it is easy to see why. O'Keefe has a certain kind of charisma about him that makes people want to keep watching him, even if the program he is on is extremely boring. O'Keefe's story begins on the first of October 1971, where he was born in Australia to a very well known Sydney Judge, Barry O'Keefe. Andrew grew up in a conservative household, and his father always hoped that he would follow in his footsteps and become a lawyer. Barry O'Keefe was obviously very hurt by the death of his legendary brother Johnny O'Keefe, at only the age of 43, so he wanted to keep Andrew out of show business as much as possible. Andrew has not let that sway him and has followed in his uncle's footsteps as one of the prime personalities on Australian TV. He is married to a lady called Eleanor. Andrew is one of the most popular TV personalities on Australian TV at the moment, and due to his overwhelming popularity there has been talk of giving him his own talk show, to possibly challenge 'Rove Live'. Andrew has proved himself more than capable. One only needs to watch Andrew for a few minutes to see that he possesses much of his uncle's charisma and talent, yet none of the excesses that drove Johnny to an early grave.
