A lover of storytelling, Amanda Sackett grew up with two adventurous older brothers, just east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where her childhood friend was a chicken named Molly. Being the daughter of the state Constable there was never a shortage of dramatic police investigations to fuel her passion for storytelling. As a child she would write, direct and star in her own plays. Her parents were always a captive audience and encouraged her to develop her creative talents. She studied theatre at Penn State and later moved to LA where she thrived in improv classes at Monkey Butler and UCB. She continued refining her craft at New Actors Ensemble and discovered her love for sitcom at Scott Sedita's Studio. She put her training and skills into action by co-producing and acting in a comedic web series called Wing Girlz. She was never at a loss for opportunities to stretch her talents in productions like Ask Dr. Juli, Night Life, and Let's Have A Baby. Amanda's leading performance in a featured short on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno was a big hit. So impressed by her performance, her co-star Lisa Rinna became a great encouragement to her in continuing to pursue her dreams in entertainment. Amanda currently spends most of her time writing, producing, and acting in her own productions. She's passionate about what she does and is grateful to be living out her dreams of telling inspiring, funny, and hopeful stories.
