Growing up in the New York City area, music and rhythm were integral to Jayson's every breath even before she was old enough to grasp the many finer points of music, and she was frequently moved to dance to a thrilling beat or an infectious melody. Her discovery of the powerful connection between words, music and emotion and of music's ability to sing her most secret feelings pulled her naturally towards the performing arts. She absorbed the nuances of different styles of music through dance and instrumental and choral groups as she searched to find her own artistic voice and eventually became able to capture her ideas and emotions through chords, lyrics and complex harmonies speaking through instruments including guitar, piano, ukulele, and the many sounds she experienced in the world. She wrote the music and lyrics for all five tracks of her latest EP IsLove. IsLove, produced and engineered by Philip Jimenez (Wheatus) at Godo Gringo Studios in Huntington, NY, will release Spring 2013 alongside a video-produced track "Baby You Can."
