Imauri Ali Chapman was born in Decatur, Illinois, to Brenda, a beauty therapist, and Elvin Chapman, a civil engineer. She is of African American, Native Indian and Irish descent. After being raised in Indianapolis most of her life, in January of 2007 she broke into the entertainment industry as Willow Smith's (Will Smith's daughter) stand-in/stunt double in Francis Lawrence's "I Am Legend". Soon thereafter, Ali moved to Los Angeles to further develop her professional career as an actress, model, host, and entertainer.Standing at 3 feet 8 inches, Ali's unique presence as a little person puts her as the center of attention in any room. Although Ali is smaller, her entertainment industry aspirations are bigger than life, recently landing her a role on Pamela Adlon's "Better Things" and as a series regular on the AMC hit Freakshow (2013) which is now on Netflix.
