Ali Abouomar is an independent producer, screenwriter, and director. Ali was raised in Brooklyn, Cairo, London, and Paris, and accordingly is fluent in French, Arabic, and English. Over the past 10 years he has been a part of over 20 films. Multifaceted, he has helped develop for film, pilots, and television. Having started out at First Line Entertainment, Ali has specialized in tightening productions, financing, and distribution. With a focus on quality over quantity, Ali has had his hand on films that have seen their fair share of wins and nominations from the Golden Globes, Sundance, Tribeca Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, National Board Review, Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, Teen Choice Awards, amongst many others. Using this formula had also lead to seeing over $75 million in box office and DVD sales, as well as rentals.As an accomplished writer, many of Ali's treatments, scripts, and concepts, are in various forms of pre-production, production, and completion.Expanding this concept, and his Middle Eastern heritage, he established Xpress Films in 2011. Partnered with actor turned producer Monte Bezell , there is a focus on making films with a conscience, while giving those with talent, but no outlet, an avenue for their creativity.
