Alexis DeLaRosa, was born and raised in New York City, in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan, where his family emigrated to from the Dominican Republic. He began his formal training at Wesleyan University's Center for the Arts, where he received his BA, performing in plays, student films and anything he could get his hands on, before finally majoring in History. He returned to New York City where he was involved in countless off-off Broadway (sometimes Brooklyn) plays. He was a founding member of the Around The Block community theatre group, studied at HB Studios, willingly and regularly hammed it up at Arlene's Grocery's Punk Rock Karaoke before going to Los Angeles where he now acts in Film and TV.
