Alexandra Moen was born in Pisa in Italy. Having an oceanographer as a father meant that she and her family - teacher mother and two younger brothers - traveled along with his work and,at age six, she moved to Canada and then to Bermuda, ending up in England, where she completed her schooling. She read English at Leeds University before studying acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. She made her professional stage debut in 2003 at the Chichester theatre in Chekhov's 'The Seagull' and has since worked widely on stage and television. To many small screen viewers she is probably best known for her appearance in 'Doctor Who', doing something the doctor failed to and ridding the world of his great enemy, the Master. In addition to acting she sings and is a member of a psychedelic pop band. Show less «
