Afrim Gjonbalaj is an American Actor and Martial Artist of Albanian descent. A native New Yorker Born and raised in Brooklyn, Afrim's passion for Martial Arts films led him to start training in Shotokan Karate at the age of 15 and he started acting in high school plays around the same time. Afrim received his B.A. in Theater with a concentration in Acting from Buffalo State College in 2006. He has also trained at the Canadian National Voice Intensive, The Labyrinth Theater Company and is a humble member of SAG-AFTRA. Afrim is a Black Belt in Shotokan Karate and Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.Afrim is best known for playing Albanian Mobster Edon Dervishi in Unforgettable (2011) and Captain Sims in Battledogs (2013).
