Aaron is a proud descendant from the Tjap Whurrung people of the Gunditjmara nation. Raised in south west Victoria at the Framlingham Mission, Aaron is currently the Director of the Korin Gamadji Institute (KGI) along side the Richmond Football Club. KGI is a centre of excellence with a strength based approach to empowering future leaders through cultural affirmation and development programs for young people. The KGI is critical to RFC work in community with Aaron playing a key role engaging with Federal and State Governments, corporate and community partners and stakeholders. In his previous role as Indigenous Programs Manager for AFLVic, Aaron played a significant role in strengthening football pathways for Victorian Aboriginal and Multicultural Youth. This has included driving the strategic direction and implementation of new talent pathways and educational facilitation throughout the entire network of community level football and administration. Throughout the past 15yrs Aaron has held a range of positions across the community control sector in health, cultural heritage / land management and Education. This has included the award winning Brambuk National Park and Cultural Centre, Kirreet Barreet Art and Culture Centre. Aaron has more recently acted as advisor to various prestige's Independent schools on Indigenous inclusion along with developing and leading many Reconciliation Action Plans, including national organisations Hostplus Super Fund, AG Coombs and International company Cummins. In 2017 Aaron was selected to be a part of the inaugural Emerging Indigenous Executive Leadership program, delivered by the Australia Graduate School of Management University Of New South Wales.
