Aaron Braxton's multi-faceted career spans the genres of theatre, television, and film. As a writer and performer, his critically acclaimed solo play, Did You Do Your Homework? garnered several national and international awards including a NAACP Image Award and Romanian International Gala Star.Hailing from Roxbury, MA, and growing up in Santa Rosa, California, he currently makes his residence in Los Angeles, CA. A graduate of San Diego State University and a Masters graduate of the University of Southern California, he is a true renaissance man, who has also authored several books including: Did You Do Your Homework? Is Not Enough! (Seven Motivating Principles for the Comprehensive Success of Parents and Their Children), The Homeboy's Guide to Southern Cooking, and Did You Do Your Homework? (One teacher's journey through the bureaucracy of an urban classroom.) Most recently, he wrote and directed the successful solo show, Belafonte Unauthorized, a play about artist/activist Harry Belafonte.In addition, Aaron has written several plays for children, articles, essays, webisodes, and screenplays. Also a talented actor, he has starred, guest starred or co-starred in several television and film projects including; Two Broke Girls, Bad Judge, Scorpion, Days of Our Lives, The Drive, ER, Hoover Park, General Hospital, The Secret Life of Jeffrey Dahmer, Killer Cop, X-Files, and the soon to be released feature film Slamm Jamma.Current projects include a 10-episode television adaptation of Did You Do Your Homework? as well as Broken; a dramatic play about a woman who accidentally kills her 17 year old son, and A Condition of Faith, a feature film about a pastor so jaded by life and circumstances that he burns down his church. In addition, he is writing a children's book entitled, Jesse and the Caterpillar Who Got His Wings.
