K.C. Guthrie is a member of the Degrassi class of 2014. He comes from a difficult upbringing that he tries to keep secret from his friends at school. His father is an alcoholic and both of his parents have served time in jail. He lives in a group home his freshman year because both are locked up.He is quick to get upset and is impulsive and reckless at times, including breaking the law. He is in the gifted program but struggles in school because he doesn't apply himself. Perhaps because of this bad boy persona, he gets the attention of many of his female classmates.He is friends with Connor DeLaurier, Drew Torres and Dave Turner and is in a relationship with Jenna Middleton that forces them both to grow up too soon.Background: He dresses like a skater.He is on the basketball team, but isn't particularly skilled. Coach Carson takes an interest in him and tries to encourage him, but his interest crosses a professional line.Despite his father's problems with alcohol, K.C. drinks.
