Born in Romania, German actor Thomas Kellner studied Theater & Media at Bayreuth University (Germany), Linz Anton-Bruckner University, Bachelor of Arts, (Austria) and the National Conservatory CNSAD in Paris (France). In Germany he worked in city theaters of Münster, Krefeld, Bremerhaven, Frankfurt, Stuttgart Opera, Berlin, etc. In France he performed in Theatre Ouvert, Studio-Théâtre de la Comédie Française, Nanterre Amandiers and in 2011 in Teheran National Theater (Iran). In 2014 he joins Das Kollektiv Mahu, a French-German Performance collective as an actor and dramaturge with the performance arts show Quartett by Heiner Müller, between Paris, Lyon and Berlin. Since 2016 he co-directs with Mathieu Huot a research on the spectator at Festival d'Avignon (France) and Theatertreffen der Berliner Festpiele (Germany) as well as workshops on gender and Faust by J.W. Goethe, a 24h multilingual mega performance, in Lyon, Berlin, Marakesh, Paris and Istanbul. Since 2017 he creates musical theater shows with Aleksi Barrière : Ophelia Tiefsee and Katharina Blum in three languages, at Maison de Radio France and Helsinki Opera, and Graal Theater at Osla Philarmony, Stavanger Symphoniker and Nantes' Lieu Unique. Throughout his career he played smaller and bigger parts in student movies, independant shorts, as well as TV productions and one long feature "Night Out" in 2018, where he played the mayor part of Felix the Gallery owner.
