"French international midfielder, Moussa Sissoko was born on 16th August 1989 in Le Blanc-Mesnil, France. Moussa began his professional football career in France with Toulouse where he established himself as a key figure during 219 appearances for the Ligue 1 club, scoring 23 goals.Sissoko made the move to the Premier League with Newcastle United in January 2013, representing them on 133 occasions and scoring 12 times.Having represented France at every level from Under-16 to Under-21, he made his senior international debut for Les Bleus in 2009 in a FIFA World Cup qualifier. He has gone on to claim over 50 caps, including being a member of the team that reached the Euro 2016 Final.After an impressive showing at the Euro 2016 championship, he joined Tottenham Hotspur from Newcastle on deadline day, August 2016. He played 34 times in all competitions in his debut season in North London and scored his first Tottenham Hotspur goal the following season.Sissoko had been in and out of the side in various attacking positions during his early time at the club, but shone upon moving into a central midfield role in the 2018/19 campaign, helping to turn matches in Tottenham Hotspurs' favour and endearing himself to the fans in the process.He started 27 of Tottenham Hotspur's 38 Premier League games in the 2018/19 campaign and appeared as a substitute in a further two, often linking up with Harry Winks.
