Katie Kopajtic recently produced, directed, wrote and starred in BFA, an original Baltimore- loving web series that "captures the humor, wackiness and mild desperation that make this show about young Bachelor of Fine Arts grads different from other shows about millennials" -Sarah Richards, The Baltimore Sun. She has performed theatre in and around New York City, with Naked Angels, The Amoralists and Irondale, in Brooklyn. She helped to carry UMBC's Las Meninas by Lynn Nottage to the Kennedy Center, which was won the national finalist award at the American College Theatre Festival, playing the dual role of the Queen Mother and Mother Superior. Katie is currently in the Brooklyn All Bush Ensemble (BABE)'s production of Poof! by Lynn Nottage, where she stars as Loureen.Kopajtic earned a B.F.A. in acting at the Universtiy of Maryland, Baltimore County. She then studied acting in New York with James Luse, (The Micheal Chekhov Acting Studio), Terry Greiss and Jim Nieson (Irondale). She currently studies and participates in Improv with the Upright Citizen's Brigade with Brendan Gardner, Chelsea Clark, and Kevin Hines. She has worked in production with The Amoralists (The Pied Pipers of the Lower East Side, The Bad and the Better), Irondale (Color Between the Lines), and Broadway's 24 Hour Plays.
