Jacob Dufour was born on October 1st, 1997 to Adam and Kristin Dufour in Scottsburg, Indiana. After growing up in the small, nearby town of Ft. Ritner, he moved to Salem, Indiana where he landed the role of Jim Hollis in the local community theatre's production of "Tom Sawyer" at the age of 12. He continued performing onstage for the remainder of his childhood, appearing in roles including The Cat in the Hat in "Seussical the Musical", Dennis in "All Shook Up!", Reverend David Lee in "The Foreigner", and made his directorial debut with "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)", in which he also starred. When he was fifteen years old, his father Adam and friends Daniel and Tim Cleghorn enlisted his help in producing and starring in a sixty-minute faith-based film entitled "The Redemption of Benjamin Black", which tells the allegorical tale of a kind and faithful messenger that braves the dangers of the Wild West to deliver an important letter to a notorious outlaw named Ben Black. The low-budget evangelistic movie didn't do well in the market, but captivated Jacob in the magic of filmmaking and even helped him discover his own Christian faith. Not long after the release of "Benjamin Black", Jacob and Adam founded the production company Amor Domini Productions, which is dedicated to spreading inspirational, God-glorifying messages through stage, audio and screen. Their first endeavor was "Forward Until Found", a short motivational film that encourages Christians to share the Gospel with others. The film, which Jacob co-wrote, composed the soundtrack for, and starred in, went on to win numerous awards at film festivals across the country. Show less «
