Ashley Wren Collins was born in Westminster, Maryland as daughter to Roger and Carole Collins and younger sister to Whitney Collins. She spent her childhood in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she delighted in ballet until her mother recognized her penchant for delivering oral book reports and promptly signed her up for Saturday morning acting lessons. From the moment she debuted as a male munchkin in The Wizard of Oz at the age of 9, Ashley became serious about her craft and went on to star in numerous community and high school theater plays and musicals until she obtained her B.A. in Theatre Arts and English from the University of Pennsylvania. Upon graduation she moved to New York City, where she worked as an actress and choreographer in several successful off-Broadway productions. Ashley then went on to obtain her MFA in Acting from the American Repertory Theater/Moscow Art Theater School Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University. Strikingly beautiful with her piercing blue eyes, fair complexion and naturally wavy locks, Ashley is an accomplished film, television and theatre actress, touted by her friends and colleagues not only as refreshingly talented, but also warm, friendly, and a consummate professional. Ashley received "Outstanding Leading Actress" for her role in Mother Eve's Secret Garden of Sensual Sisterhood, which she also co-created, produced and choreographed. She produced and acted in the feature film Chasing Taste, the "Best Comedy" winner of the 2014 Manhattan Film Festival and 2013 Burbank International Film Festival. Ashley is the recipient of a writing fellowship from The Edward F. Albee Foundation and her short story, "Daddy's Girl," won the St. Petersburg Review Award and was published in their literary journal. Ashley is the author of 3 books and a contributor to Moviemaker Magazine and The Huffington Post.
