Alex Gopal was born in South Bend, IN and is an avid University of Notre Dame fan. He is of a very diverse ethnic background which includes Mexican (Tarasco Indian), East Indian, Russian, Polish & German. He started acting classes at the age of 6 in story theatre at Albuquerque Academy where he currently (2017) attends school. He is also a regular student of Sol Acting Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico since 2012. He studies under Stephen Burhoe and owner Vivian Nesbitt. He is trained in film, modeling, and theatre. His first acting experience in TV/Film was on an episode of "In Plain Sight" in 2011. He enjoys being on set; learning and growing as an actor with each experience. Alex's favorite character portrayal so far is Ben, a boy he played in a short film by Siren 13 Media's "Life on the Spectrum", a story about life with Autism. Alex trains in Tae Kwon Do studying under Grandmaster Hee Il Cho and the AIMAA family, primarily Sean and Denise Farrell of New Mexico and is a current (2017) Black Belt. Alex's other talents include: hip hop, tumbling, skiing, swimming, various sports and bass guitar. His favorite sport to play and watch is ice hockey. He initially played forward but is now making a switch to goalie. Alex loves to travel, his favorite destinations include Pompeii and the Galapagos Islands. Alex roots for most Chicago teams including the Blackhawks, Bears, Bulls, Fire, and White Sox.
