In 1943 a group of Australian and British Commandos used a captured Japanese fishing boat to sail from Australia to Singapore to attack Japanese shipping in Singapore harbour. Using canoes the team paddled through the defences to place Limpet Mines on their targets. The attack was successful with seven ships being sunk or damaged.
