A period drama that picks up where the famous story of Romeo and Juliet leaves off, charting the treachery, palace intrigue, and ill-fated romances of the Montagues and Capulets in the wake of the young lovers' tragic fate. Based on the book by Melinda Taub.
The colorblind casting of Still Star-Crossed is also an intriguing part of the formula, though it's no help in distinguishing this family from that considering the large number of characters.
The drama of a family feud interlaced with unbridled romance and sword fights galore; this series will have you on the edge of your seat as well as have you and your friends talking about it for several days afterward!
Still Star-Crossed, from executive producer and writer Heather Mitchell and Shonda Rhimes' production company, is a little too wispy and indistinct to make much of an impression.
It might take awhile for the story to sort itself out in a way that will provide some proper character development, but so long as most of the focus remains on Rosaline, then Still Star-Crossed shouldn't have any major issues.
