Pokorny's heart is a good one and his devotion to Dungeons & Dragons as a powerful social experiment is admirable. It's a shame the social engagement barely reaches anyone else in Dwarvenaut.
Director Josh Bishop serves up a wonderful documentary about Stefan Pokorny, a Dungeons and Dragons Dungeon Master who has built a business creating models for his hobby.
While ... The Dwarvenaut won't break any new ground in terms of nonfiction narrative, it will ideally open up viewers eyes to the fact that art goes far beyond what's painted or drawn.
