Hally, a seventeen-year-old white South African boy has a bad relationship with his birth father meanwhile he gives all the respects to his caretaker Sam, a black waiter as well as teacher of Hally. Being stuck of suffering the racist jokes of his father, Sam only feels better with many positive experiences given by Sam.
