Violet Song Jat Shariff is part of an underground resistance to protect former hemophages from the government, which is attempting to round them up and kill them or use them for experiments to try and contain hemoglophagia. Violet caught the disease nearly a decade ago when blood from another hemophage had splattered on her hands and face when he attacked her husband and was shot multiple times in the back by a security guard. She then was taken to a camp in which doctors and scientists performed many experiments and dissections that she had to frequently be revived from, and it did not help that she was pregnant. After nearly nine months inside of the camp, the scientists terminated her pregnancy. Shortly after, she escaped out of rage and joined the underground resistance. Then, Violet joined the other hemophages that are still alive and started fighting in the Blood Wars.
