Val Resnick is described in the movie as a sadist (not the only one in this movie). He smiles nearly all the way through, and seems to enjoy playing the baddy - as does Lucy Liu.As might be expected he meets his end at the hands of Porter, though not in a particularly gruesome manner. It might have been more satisfying to see him looking scared at the end, but he stayed in character, and perhaps the film was better for it. Show less «
