Tony is the younger brother of terrorist henchman Karl Vreski, both of whom work for Hans Gruber. As the terrorist break into the the Nakatomi Plaza, he cuts all the phone lines in the building with the help of Karl using a chainsaw. He later witnesses Gruber execute the Nakatomi executive Joeseph Takagi. Tony is ordered to dispose of the body. Later he is sent to the top of the building to eliminate a hostage' who pulled the fire alarm. Tony enters the room while shouting to the apparent hostage (who is actually New York cop John McClane) by promising he will not hurt who ever it is hiding. He then coldly unloads a few rounds from his mp5 where believes the hostage is. John McClane creates a diversion causing to Tony to follow a noise he made be turning on a saw table. When Tony arrives, McClane points his beretta point blank at his head. The two converse for a few moments then engage in fight which leads to both of them falling down a stairwell resulting in Tony breaking his neck. MCclane Id's his body and takes his weapon. He tries to put on his shoes but their too small. He then ties him up on an office chair, places a santa hat on his head. Next, placing him in a elevator with the writing on his chest stating now I have a machine gun ho ho ho. in red marker. While hiding on the top of the elevator he sets it down to the party room where the terrorist are stationed along with the hostages. The body causes a scene. Hans and his men walk over and discuss who may be responsible. As McClane listens, he takes down the names he hears on his skin. Hans then instructs one of his men to tell Karl that his brother is dead. This causes a vicious vendetta throughout the rest of the story between Karl and MCclane.
