Ta'Lon is a Narn version of a Samurai, though he was held prisoner in the same ship that held Captain Sheridan in the episode All Alone In The Night . The character did not get a name until the next episode in which he appeared.Fiercely honorable, yet with a ready laugh, he assists Captain Sheridan and G'Kar with a keen insight and wisdom. He surrenders to G'Kar on one occasion saying that while his sword was in his hand, where it could be taken away, G'Kar's was in his Heart, and in his Mind, giving G'Kar a two-to-one advantage. When he offered to be Captain Sheridan's body-guard, Sheridan asked, What would my superiors say about me having a Narn as a body-guard? Ta'Lon's response: They will say 'here is a man who will live to be one-hundred and fifty!' Later, following the Ambassador's decision to leave, G'kar chose Ta'Lon as his successor as ambassador to Babylon 5, and the Interstellar Alliance. G'Kar explained his decision citing Ta'Lon's honor, his wisdom, and G'Kar's own leaning too far towards priest, rather than warrior, stating that the position would benefit from someone more warrior than priest to restore the balance.
