Sakura Haruno is a kunoichi (female ninja) from Konoha, member of Kakashi Hatake's Team 7, originally consisting of herself, Naruto Uzumaki, and Sasuke Uchiha. She has fair skin, pink hair and green eyes. Her birthday is March 28, her star sign is Aries and her blood type is O. She is 12 years old at the beggining of the series, her height being 1.48 cm., her weight 35.4 kg. and her Registration ID is #012601.Contrary to her teammates, Sakura did not experience any kind of tragedy during her childhood, being introduced as a quite average girl. As a young child, Sakura was bullied by her schoolmates, which made her grow long bangs to cover her big forehead , that everyone was laughing at. Sakura's lack of self-esteem made her a very timid girl. This changed only when she met Ino Yamanaka, one of the most popular girls of her class. Ino gave Sakura a red ribbon to tie her hair and to no longer hide her forehead, that way, Ino said, no one would make fun at it. Since then, Sakura wore the red ribbon at the top of her head, showing proudly her big forehead, and slowly became Ino's admirer, looking up at her, wishing someday, to be as self-determined and pretty as her new friend.Sakura and Ino eventually become best friends, but their strong friendship turned into rivalry when Sakura found out that the boy she liked so much, Sasuke Uchiha, was Ino's love interest too. Since then, the two friends decide to don't give up on their pursue for Sasuke's acceptance. Sakura, now with a long pink hair (the rumour said that Sasuke-kun liked girls with long hair), after graduating from Genin and receiving her official blue ninja's head-band, return to Ino the red ribbon she wore for so long, not only as a symbol of her true love for Sasuke-kun, but as a symbol of her will to become stronger and independant and no longer living under Ino's shadow, as well as thanking Ino for giving her the confidence to become a girl who can stand for herself. At the start of the series, Sakura's only defining characteristic as a kunoichi is her intelligence, largely due to her interest in memorizing things and the taking of quizzes while in the Academy. Because of this, Sakura is unable to contribute largely in battles, her stamina and overall talent being below average. Soon after the start of her first mission, however, Sakura discovers that she has an excellent control over her chakra, and as such she can use jutsu to their maximum efficiency. While this particular ability is never put to great use in Part I, it becomes a focal point of Sakura's fighting style in Part II.Within Sakura resides an Inner Sakura , a manifestation of her inner emotions that, aside from comic relief, serves as a representation of Sakura's actual opinion on things when she outwardly displays something opposite, due to her low self-esteem. Inner Sakura's appearances are typically marked by an exclamation of Shannaro! (). The phrase has no literal meaning, but is usually translated as hell yeah , hell no , or damn it depending on the situation ( Cha! in the northamerican dubbed anime). At the beggining of the series, Inner Sakura appearances are very frequent, but after Sakura started to gain true confidence in herself, Inner Sakura appearances are fairly infrequent, her last being when Sakura's fight during the Chunin Exams. Inner Sakura briefly resurfaces later on during one of the anime's filler arcs, and again at the start of Part II. The dissapearance of Inner Sakura is likely due to Sakura becoming more comfortable with herself, and no longer feeling the need to hide her true overwhelming emotions. Inner Sakura looks just like real Sakura, but in black and white, being her skin and dress black and her hair and white parts of her dress white. On her forehead, it's written Inner Sakura on japanese.Sakura's character started to change in a positive way during the second part of the Chuunin Exams. After a fight with Orochimaru, Naruto is unconscious and out of combat, while Sasuke is suffering too, due to an, at that time, unknown consequence of an encounter with Orochimaru. Sakura kept her mates safe inside a cave, struggling with herself, feeling useless because she is not strong enough to protect them, being always the one who is protected by them. In this situation, a group of ninjas from the Sound village appears to attack. Their aim is Sasuke. In this moment, Sakura must overthrow all her fears, facing the ruthless Zaku Abumi and his mates. Sakura's proved high intelligence allowed her to put plenty of traps, but at this point, she has to fight face-to-face. Giving her best with Kawarimi no Jutsu (Change of Body Stance Technique) and her facility to see weak spots, it wasn't enough, and she was heavily damaged by Zaku and his team-mates. Rock lee, who has a crush on Sakura, sees her in danger and quickly goes to help her. He is a good match to Zaku, but the techniques of the Sound Ninja finally left Lee out of combat. Sakura, seeing another mate being hurt by her fault , regains her strong will and promises to do whatever it takes to protect Sasuke and her friends. Kin Tsuchi, the kunoichi of the Sound Ninjas, grab Sakura by her hair and remarks how Sakura has time to keep a bright, soft, long hair instead of training to be a good ninja. Zaku is ready to give Sakura the final strike, when she surprisingly took her kunai to cut her hair off, and released her from Kin. This action is very significant to Sakura. She always kept her hair long, because the rumour was Sasuke liked girls with with long hair, but the new Sakura is no longer interested in superficial things, this change means Sakura is strongly decided to become a real kunoichi, and be able to be a pair to her team-mates. This is the beginning of the new Sakura.Over the timeskip (Naruto: Shipp
