Ellie was in Emma Frost's telepathy class suggesting that she has telepathy, at least, limitedPremonition: Ellie experiences premonitory nightmares and premonitions. It seems that precognition may have been limited to single predicting disasters, which may help explain her depressed and distressed personality. She predicted Genosha being destroyed, Kitty Pryde losing control of her powers and uncontrollably phasing down, and defeating Selene's army.In comics, Negasonic's powers were only psychic, but filmmaker Tim Miller gave her new skills, which are even more suited to the character's quirky name.
