Veronica Sullivan is an energetic matchmaker currently living in the Hamptons. When Hank and Divya first meet her, they notice photos on the wall of various couples in wedding garb. Divya asks, Do you perform weddings? to which Veronica replies, No, I don't. I perform introductions. I'm a matchmaker. This is my wall of fame. Veronica was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy (heart trouble) nine years ago, leading her to need a heart transplant. Notably, she was given a second heart (heterotopic heart transplant) instead of replacing her own, because of the risk of rejection. The two hearts are supposed to beat in synch with each other ( more romantic that way claims Veronica; Not to mention healthier , Hank adds). Since they're not, Hank and Divya get called to her house. While they're there, Veronica tries multiple times to get either of both interested in being set up with a partner, later going so far as to try to get Divya interested in cardiologist Dr. London, but Divya rejects the notion with more and more irritation until she finally informs Veronica others had tried to set her up in relationships, to disastrous result. Veronica confides in Divya she'd been in a lousy relationship, had a lousy job, and didn't believe in love or happiness until a stranger literally gave Veronica her heart. And I realized that lousy just wasn't going to cut it anymore. Later, Veronica calls Hank to a restaurant, then leaving him in the company of Dr. Harper, who viewers may remember from previous episodes. Seconds later, someone calls for a doctor; Harper and Hank both respond, to discover Veronica is unconscious and has no pulse. They get her heart started again, and send her to the hospital. At the hospital, Dr. London determines Veronica needs a pacemaker for each heart, despite Hank's suggestion an infection may be the culprit. In true Hollywood fashion, Hank manages to piece together all Veronica's previous symptoms with the seizure she has in the hospital and realize she'd contracted Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. At the end of the episode, Veronica is enjoying the sunlight (which her condition prevented her from doing before) when Divya joins her. Divya mentions there is no longer any need for pacemakers or another transplant, and apologizes for misjudging Veronica and her profession - then asks to hire her as a matchmaker! In spite of what seems like obvious future involvement, Veronica is not seen in later episodes. Show less «
