Michael O'Neal is Julianne Potter's best friend in My Best Friend's Wedding who is a sportswriter. Michael and Julianne met in college and told eachother that if they never married when they were 28 they'd marry eachother. Nearly a week or two before Julianne's 28th birthday Michael calls Julianne to tell her that he has met a beautiful young lady named Kimberly Wallace from Chicago and that they're getting married Sunday. Julianne flys out to Chicago to see Michael and meet Kim and is asked by Kim to be her maid of honor to which Julianne agrees to do so. Julianne realizes that she loves Michael and does everything she can to try to break him and Kimmy up even writing a letter to Michael's boss from Kimmy's dad Walter that accidently gets sent and gets Michael fired. In the end Julianne confesses her love to Michael but realizes that she lost him to Kimmy and allows her best friend to marry Kimmy. In the end Michael leaves with Kimmy for their honeymoon but before he leaves he hugs Julianne goodbye and thanks her for everything. Show less «
