Medivh is widely known in the Warcraft universe as the Last Guardian of Tirisfal, an ancient line of protectors with great powers to do battle against the Burning Legion. Medivh in particular is infamous for his part in the Orcish Invasion of Azeroth during Sargeras' possession of him.
