Mason (1939 - 1966) died of a self-inflicted drill hole in the head, wanting to get to a new high drugs and alcohol couldn't give him.Mason may seem like a 'f**k up', as Rube often calls him, but he is a very sensitive person, deep down, who makes a lot of mistakes.After his death, he became a grim reaper, but death didn't stop him from drinking. When Daisy Adair came to town, he developed a crush on the fellow reaper, but went by all the wrong ways to try to win her heart.The reaper, though getting himself in a lot of mischief, does some things that not many people would do. He offered his home to Daisy and George, when they were in need. Mason helped George through her abandonment after losing her virginity to some guy, becoming a type of big brother figure in her life.When Daisys relationship with Ray evolves, Mason begins to question his attraction to Daisy. When she gets in trouble with Ray, Mason comes in for the rescue, and makes Daisy realise just how important Mason is in her life.All around, Mason is someone who doubts himself, makes mistakes, but is always there to help his friends when they need him.
