MARV;; A strong hero he tries his hardest to protect who he loves. He can take as much as he wants to. He can get shot at. & still not die. The electric chair doesnt kill him at first, they have to do it twice.A hardened, ex-con [for a crime(s) unexplained, though among them is presumably murder], Marv spends much of his time searching for the bottom of a bottle and drifting through his days with little to look forward to other than his prescription meds and checking in with his parole officer, Lucille. One fateful night, Marv has a brief dalliance with a hooker named Goldie who winds up dead in Marv's bed when he awakes and the police are knocking at his hotel door. Narrowly avoiding capture, Marv seeks to find the person who killed Goldie, believing that he must avenge her since she was nice to him. Unknowingly, Marv stumbles upon a plot that goes as high as the clergy and the Senate, which many a twist and turn along the way including a run in with Goldie's sister, Wendy, and a canabilisitic teenager named Kevin. Ultimately, Marv gets his revenge and is sentenced to death for it. Physically, Marv is a large man, who appears almost to have been chiseled roughly from stone. He has a strength beyond that of a normal human, capable of shoving a mans face into a brick wall and split a police riot helmet in two with an axe, among other feats of strength. He is also incredibly tough, withstanding many injuries including fully automatic gunfire to the chest. When put to death, he must be electricuted twice, laughing after the first one and mockingly saying Is that the best you can do, you pansies? to his killers. Psychologically, Marv is a bit unstable to say the least. He maintains his cool most of the time, even in the heat of battle, and always manages a bit of dark, twisted humor when he's killing someone. He is prone to fits of violence, though usually only when provoked. He is very seldom angry and even when he becomes so it is usually for a short period of time before he reverts back into his cool, stable self. Marv also has an extreme sense of honor, refusing to hurt women and always seeking to right wrongs done against those he cares about.
