Marty lives in Oregon with his mother who is absent, and brother Kyle who is abusive to him. Marty's Dad shot committed suicide. He developed a paranoia from the things in the world that he perceives as a threat. He is on the surface a bully. But this is his way of dealing with his mental defects. He has sustained a close friendship with Rocky and Clyde. He ultimately cause's unintentional pain to Clyde by referring to him as Homosexual. Rocky a much wiser kid than Marty, His someone that Marty should look up to. But because of his absents of a Male figure. He doesnt allow males to effect his decisions. Although he values the roles his friends have on his life. Marty's decisions are affected by his perception of how the world deceits him or has defied him. He currently is on the run from the police.
