Lord Shen was the main antagonist in Kung Fu Panda 2. He was an old, leucistic Indian Peafowl with a British accent. In his youth, Shen was obsessed with using the powder of fireworks to create weapons. When he overheard his childhood nanny, the wise old soothsayer, foretelling to his worried parents, the peacock rulers of Gongmen City, that their son was to be stopped by a warrior of black and white if he continued towards his dark path, he led his wolves on a raid in a small panda village to annihilate all pandas (including one baby panda bear, who is later named Po and chosen as the Dragon Warrior and a well-trained master in Kung Fu). But when he came back and expected his parents to praise him for the job he did, they were forced to instead banish their diabolical son from Gongmen City for all eternity and to never, ever come back. Afterwards, a disgruntled Shen plotted his revenge for twenty years (and because of the incident that happened a long time ago, he keeps stating that his parents never loved him and they hated him), eventually creating an unstoppable weapon: A huge cannon. Even though Lord Shen's weapon and his army of gorillas and wolves had brought him temporarily to power in Gongmen City, the Soothsayer's fortune did indeed come true when the peacock was defeated (and killed when he accidentally sliced the ropes holding up his cannon, which fell on him and exploded on impact) by Master Po, the foretold warrior of black and white. He was voiced by Gary Oldman in the film and by Keith Ferguson in Kung Fu Blander from Mad.
