Lillian Leery is the youngest child, and only daughter, of Mitch and Gail Leery. She was born in the spring of her brother Dawson's senior year of high school, and is named for his best friend, Joey Potter's deceaced mother, who was a friend of Gail's. Her father died the following fall and her mother remarried six years later. She, much like her television producing brother, is a movie buff and at a young age her she has seen many of the classics including Annie Hall and Harold and Maude.
