Laszlo Mahnovski is a young scientist and inventor who worked for CIA since his teen years. He appeared in Season 1, Episode 6 of 'Chuck', called 'Chuck vs the Sandworm'. He was involved in designing many of their most powerful weapons, including the car used by Chuck Bartowski. Chuck meets Laszlo after he escapes from the lab where he was held by CIA. Laszlo is handsome young blue-eyed brunette, who looks afraid of something and very careful, even paranoid. The catch is, there are two versions of the same story. While Laszlo claims that he was practically kidnapped and used for his intellect, CIA officials say that Laszlo is extremely dangerous criminal and bomb maker, who was held under control by them.Chuck is ready to believe his associates, but the fact that Laszlo threatened him with a water gun and him finding out CIA's microphone in the picture that Sarah gave him, makes him change his mind. Believing in his innocence, Chuck agrees to hide Laszlo in his empty store at night. There, the two bond by watching James Bond movie 'A View To A Kill'. The whole theme of Bond emerged after Chuck called Laszlo a real life Q, and he didn't know who it was. He said he was quite cut off from the world in a lab. Chuck felt sorry for him and the two connected. However, after watching the movie, the twist came. Chuck called Max Zorin film's villain, which made Laszlo furious. He said that Zorin was used by the Nazis and then tossed by both them and the Secret Service. He said that he could have done much more than drown the Sillicon Valley. Laszlo has shown to be quite fascinated about blowing-up things, and said that they could blow-up Texas for fun, since there is nothing worthy there. After seeing that Texas is too far, he changed it to California. Chuck made a sidetrack comment about watching 'Goldfinger', another film about cool, evil, misunderstood guy, and that made Laszlo quit his plan and sit down. Then Chuck tried to escape and contact Sarah, but Laszlo saw it coming and was already in his car when Chuck entered. Agents arrived, but Laszlo escaped using Chuck's car, which he designed, so he knew all it's tricks. In order to catch Laszlo, Chuck missed his promotion interview. He realised that Laszlo is under a bridge at the peer in which he was recruted. He had a bomb and was ready to use it, even teasing Chuck with confusing and contradicting instructions. Ultimately, Chuck managed to disarm the bomb, and Laszlo was arrested by agents. It is presumed that he was sent to jail, although it is possible that he continued to make things for CIA with strict supervision.Trivia:Actor who plays Laszlo, Jonathan Sadowski, like his character, has last name ending on -ski. It is assumed that he is of Polish origin, although that is never mentioned.
