Prince Koura is a man with unlimited ambition and greed. A master of the Black Arts, he intends to use his abilities to rule over a small Arabian port city, which already lives in fear of his powers. Unfortunately for Koura, he has made a very dangerous bargain with the Demons of Darkness. Whenever he uses their power, he must give up some of his life force to them. The effect is that he ages rapidly, sometimes only in parts of his body (like his hand), sometimes everywhere at once.Koura believes that this investment will pay off to his benefit, however, as he knows that if he can solve the riddle left to the last Grand Vizier, he will gain untold riches, the power to become invisible, and restored youth, from a magic fountain. Koura did not bargain, however, on Sinbad the sailor gaining a piece of the puzzle and becoming allied with the Vizier, in a race against Koura. Koura uses a Homunculus, an animated figurehead, and an animated golden statue of a goddess to defeat Sinbad, all to no avail. Finally, Koura and Sinbad duel one another in the chamber of the Fountain of Destiny, with Koura gaining his invisibility, and seemingly the advantage over Sinbad. But, Koura foolishly steps into the fountain where his outline is visible, and Sinbad slays him easily. Show less «
