Kalibak is the first-born son of the alien Darkseid (ruler of planet Apokolips), and together they're both recurring enemies of Superman. He has extreme super-human strength, endurance, and durability, but only a meager intelligence. He possesses a rod called a Beta-Club which fires force bolts or nerve beams that cause extreme agony, but at one point this normally indestructible weapon was destroyed by Orion with help from Lightray. Kalibak can also summon and use Aero-disks, allowing him to fly. His personality is violent and he tends to yell whenever speaking.
