Jesse is Betty's emo, musician next door neighbor when she moves into the city. Jesse is also Betty's newest crush. Betty throws a Mode after-party on the roof featuring Jesse's band, Dark Sexual Journey. She walks into her apartment to find Amanda making out with him. After Betty's father has a heart attack, Betty decides to move out of her apartment and back to Queens. She tells Jesse, and he says that he'll miss her. They decide to hang out in her apartment for a couple hours. While they're talking, Jesse ends up kissing Betty. After that, he blows her off until she corners him at one of his gigs. Betty gets a date with Jesse only to leave that he's very self-absorbed. The entire date, he talks about himself. Betty then realizes that she's really not that into him.
