Jennifer Linden is a perfectly ordinary teenage girl. She is obnoxious, insulting, embarrassing, irrational, very attractive to men, and possessed of terrible taste in music. Her father should be proud, but for some inexplicable reason insists on taking every opportunity to make matters worse by trying to restrict her behavior. Neither of them makes it easy for Nichole, the new young wife of the long widowed Paul Linden, and when Jennifer learns of Nichole's steamy past, a terrible collision is set up, as Jennifer begins to hang around Les Girls, a strip-tease dive in a bad neighborhood (conveniently close to the nearby beatnik coffee-bar). Jennifer's blooming adolescent sexuality is appreciated by Kenny, the owner of the club, who has plans for her, but Jennifer is her own person, which can only lead to trouble for all involved.
