Will's blunt but honest tirade enumerating the flaws in our current society was reported to have greatly upset her. Which is why Will is genuinely surprised when she turns up at the season 1 finale to apply for an internship at his news show. A magazine article had been written about Will, critical of his news show's direction in the aftermath of his Northwestern meltdown. Jennifer explains that she watches the show, has read the article and takes issue with him being portrayed as the greater fool .
