Jefferson D'Arcy is Marcy's second husband. He is the only character to have a sketchy past. He has referenced that his father had died, and implicated his mother may have passed on as well. He has no siblings. He has a shady past, and rarely talked about it. Initially when he married her, he was serving parole for a land fraud deal. He might have also been a spy. While he is a great lover, he shares her acerbic sarcasm, greed and chicanery. Jefferson, though, is a lazy, gold-digging gigolo who avoids work as much as possible. He is also two-faced, often agreeing with Marcy on many of her views, but then going out behind her back to join Al on sports, strip bars, and NO MA'AM events that Marcy vehemently opposes.
